LAST SIGHT OF LAND was recorded while the band was based in Berlin. Released only in Europe, it marked a temporary departure from the band's sound, in the shape of huge string sections, choirs, and layers of bass, keyboards, and percussion. Producer Toby Dammit (aka Larry Mullins) produced and did all string arrangements, and his experience with orchestral percussion and production largely shaped the sound of the album.
